JJ
JJ is the tech guru of the entire operation here at the Red Bull Ampol Racing.
Moore has been with Triple Eight as an engineer since its inception in 2003, before acting as the smiling assassin’s (we mean Lowndsey) race engineer from 2008 and progressing to chief designer.
After 12 years at Triple Eight and concerns he was starting to morph into a junior RD (let us tell you, nobody wants that!), JJ headed over to Germany at the start of 2015, having accepted an exciting role with Porsche.
His time with the German powerhouse was focused on their World Endurance Championship program, race-engineering its #2 entry to victory in the championship and at Le Mans in 2016.
Since his return to Triple Eight land, he has overseen the technical directive of the team’s Supercars Championship and GT operations, and previously the Dunlop Super2 Series.
During the dark times *Covid-19 has entered the chat *, the team found itself with time to spare due to the changes to the Supercars calendar. Triple Eight decided to put their skills to use and developed an emergency ventilator, JJ being one of the big brains behind this product. The team titled this The Conrod Project, you can view more about it here.
If all of that wasn’t already enough, he has also been an integral part of the development of the new Gen3 cars for the Supercars category, putting in endless hours to create and design the brand-new era of Supercars. Talk about an overachiever.
